Not Available as a Print

A crisp morning but not bitter cold,  the sun was shining, a nice powdery snow fall last night, all the elements needed for a little drive out on the country roads for some research and development for painting subjects.  Let's just take the day off and go for a ride.  How many times has my wife Coleen heard this . . . or even suggested it?  Painting on location has its good points, but so does studio painting, and I can gather enough reference today to keep me busy for a while.  Coleen will pack us up a picnic lunch, fill the thermos, we grab the camera, jump in the ole van, and hit the back roads.  There is always the bonus of finding a cozy home in a perfect setting on a nice winter day like this to satisfy the artist's search.
