Not Available as a Print

A painting of a Loon, was requested by a friend of mine, Harry Thompson, who has his gallery in Maine.  Now, we do have Loons in Indiana, but just not as common or abundant as in the more northern states and my reference photos were sparse.   Normally, I am 99.9% firm about painting strictly from my own photos,  "Just a thing I have."  But knowing of my dilemma on this subject another artist friend of mine, Bob Perrish, gave me some extraordinary reference photos that he had taken near his home in Michigan. I am very thankful for this as now, combined with a little of my own input, was able to paint "Keeping Up With Mama." which is presently prominently hanging, and available in the North Light Gallery in Kennebunkport, Maine.
