Not far from my studio/home, is Johnson County Park.  This beautiful large preserve is set aside for public use and is crossed by Sugar Creek, Nineveh creek, and has several small manmade lakes.  One day of touring around the park looking for painting subjects, I came across this gentleman fishing on the shoreline of Stone Arch Lake.  Obviously in his work uniform with shop rags still in his pockets, he was taking a break from his labors to do a little fishing. The Canada geese were slightly annoyed with his intrusion but stood their ground defiantly. The pose was more than I could pass up.  Fortunately I was able to get some photo shots to do this painting later in my studio.
