Not Available as a Print

Grazing amidst a heard of beautiful riding horses from paint's to appaloosa's  and then some,  was this large tired looking,  but strong proud and beautiful, old work horse.   Just looking at him you can appreciate the strength and beauty in his weathered gnarly body and imagine of the many days of toiling the fields and paying his dues,  but now enjoying retirement,  simply being put "Out To Pasture".   For some reason, some days, I feel like I can relate.  I enjoyed this painting not only for the interesting subject matter, but it was also one of my first paintings to attempt as I was evolving into the new technique of intermixing the transparent watercolor with gouache.
